It is likely that your chosen StoneMad race will start and finish in two different locations. If this is the case you may require transport back to your start line (where you may have parked), or to a local bus/railway station to take you home.

We have partnered with a local transport provider who will operate a dedicated service for StoneMad competitors and supporters.

The shuttle buses will leave Graiguenamanagh at the end of Day 1 and Day 2, or as the buses fill up.

StoneMad is a self sufficient race, so you will be required to orienteer yourself and manage your hydration and nutrition between check points.

The route is easily navigable. There will be markers in key sections.

You should be able to carry all of your mandatory kit in a modest sized waist or back pack.

RUN, JOG OR WALK

STONE MAD brings an exciting NEW race format to Ireland. It is a two day multi-stage marathon. Run, jog or walk!

You can participate on one or both days.

There is an option for an over-night stay on Saturday between stages.

Unlike any other race in Ireland, you can Build Your Own Race! Choose the number of days and the distance you want to race.

Starting in Kildare on Day 1, the route meanders alongside the beautiful river Barrow on it's journey through villages, fields and countryside to Carlow. The way is flat, with gentle off-road terrain.

In Kilkenny, on Day 2 the going gets tougher as the route climbs Mount Leinster, passing the historic nine stones.

Join us and go STONE MAD!
